Una Studio is a tool for YouTube creators. It shows your videos next to their transcripts and the shorts, posts and newsletters you make from them. This page explains what data Una Studio uses, why, where it is kept, and how to remove it.
Who runs Una Studio
Una Studio is made by The Una Lab in the United Kingdom. For anything about your data, email ana@theunalab.com.
What Una Studio collects
- Your email address, to send you a login link.
- YouTube data, only after you connect your channel and allow it. Una Studio asks Google for read-only access (the
youtube.readonlyandyt-analytics.readonlypermissions) and reads: your channel's list of videos with their titles, descriptions, tags, publish dates, lengths and thumbnails; view, like and comment counts; watch time and average percentage viewed per video; and your subscriber count and views over the last 28 days. - What you add yourself: transcripts, ideas, drafts, notes, title and thumbnail options, and links to where you posted.
Una Studio cannot upload, edit or delete anything on your YouTube channel.
How it is used
Only to show you your own videos and how they are doing, and to help you plan and track what you make from them. Your data is not sold, not used for advertising, not shared with other users, and not used to train AI models. If you use an AI assistant with Una Studio, it works on your instructions and sees what you give it.
Una Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Where it is kept
In a database run by Supabase in the European Union (Ireland), encrypted at rest. The website is hosted by Vercel. Google provides the YouTube data. These providers process data only to run the service. The access Google grants Una Studio is stored in the same database and used only to refresh your YouTube data.
How long it is kept
YouTube data is refreshed daily while your channel is connected. When you press Disconnect in Settings, that channel's YouTube data is deleted straight away; what you wrote yourself stays. If you remove Una Studio's access in your Google account instead, YouTube data is deleted within 30 days. Everything else is kept until you ask for it to be deleted, or close your account.
Removing access and deleting your data
- Remove Una Studio's access to your Google account at any time in your Google security settings.
- Email ana@theunalab.com to get a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted. You'll get a reply within 30 days.
- Under UK data protection law you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
